Does the badge update automatically as my rating changes?
No. It's a snapshot of your rating at the moment you generate it, with the numbers frozen into the code. A genuinely live badge would need a script calling an API on every page load, which we don't do. When your rating moves, come back, hit 'refresh my numbers', and re-copy the snippet.
Where do the numbers come from?
Straight from your live Google Business Profile at the moment you look yourself up, with no account needed. We only ever show your own real rating and review count, never anything invented.
Where should I put the badge on my site?
Common spots are the homepage hero, the footer (so it shows on every page), the contact page, and landing pages. Because it's plain inline-styled HTML with no scripts, you can paste it into almost any site builder's custom-HTML block.
Does clicking the badge do anything?
Yes. The whole badge links to your Google review page, so a visitor who taps it lands where they can read or leave a review. If you connect your profile we build that link for you automatically from your Place ID.
